The 112 outage of 2019: 5 lessons for telecoms and government

On 24 June 2019 the emergency number 112 was unreachable across the country for several hours. An outage in KPN's network brought most calling to a standstill, and because all 112 traffic runs over that network, almost no one could call for help. At exactly such a moment, NL-Alert also turned out to falter. Five lessons for telecoms providers and government.
